  When Jesus was doing his first tour of Israel in 37 he whipped up an enormous amount of curiosity and controversy over who he was... "Who do people think I am?" He asked his road crew. "Well, some say Johnny B or Elijah raised from the dead, some say a prophet, some a rebel, magician,wine salesman..etc" The list went on but basicaly he'd caused such a buzz that everyone was starting rumours about him. Our next supergroup has been whipping up a similar storm of curiosity.... Who do people say Dee is ...? Well... Some say he's the secret twin of FatBoySlim who was hidden away by the family because of his musical genius, or some that a certain vocalist from the Red Hot Chillie Peppers had his hair cut a bit too short and was told to go away by the rest of the band untill it grows back , others say a certain blond american rap star wanted to re invent himself so he disappeared, dyed all his hairs black, slimmed his shadies and added to his height by being stretched out on a rack for a few weeks before re-emerging in Canada. One person even said that jealous viking raiders kidnapped Primrose' Adrian and, after getting drunk on the way back to Copenhagen ,went the wrong way ending up in Canada where he was sold as a slave to a car factories 'edgy' advertising department..... and, amazingly, still others say he's the little sister of a boy genius called Dexter in a popular cartoon... But what about us... ? Who do we say he is...?

  Well we think he is probably about the most entertaining independant, American/French - Canadian singer, songwriter,producer,DJ and mental instrumentalist to have ever 'swung a beat' in Canada . After a childhood spent mostly south of the border in Niagara and also in Ottawa, his successes have snowballed since returning to Montreal at the age of eighteen . By turning his house into a studio he soon took Montreal by storm -winning the best popular artist award at the cities independant music awards at the helm of his trance rock band 'The Urbanauts'. 2002 saw the birth of Dee Music as a solo artist and producer with an enormous interest in his music amongst Canadian and Hollywood TV and film producers . Ford motors used his music and lyrics for their Ford Edge campaign, while nearly all of America's major TV series from Grey's Anatomy to Punked have also used Dee's sounds in their programs.The rumour goes that in 2006, while releasing his own solo 'debut' album and at a time when a certain 19 year old girl was out beeing exposed as a bit of a fraud over her ' MySpace bedroom channel' live on the Jay Leno show , DEE found his way into her nice tidy bedroom with a flm crew and a host of revellers to produce his own 'Lonely Girl 15' video.Since being posted on YouTube in February 2007 DEE's version has been viewed by almost a milllion people and his other videos have all recieved similar viewings. His video for Filter Factory, has taken a hand full of cardboard boxes, some very well edited time lapse photography and has absolutely 'Sledgehammered' the worlds previous favourite 'time lapse' pop video by Peter Gabriel..It was also a huge inspiration for Coldplay as Chris Martin actualy stole DEE's magnifying glass for their own recent video shoots. After already picking up numerous awards for his videos, music and live shows throughout Canada and the States, it will be of absolutely no suprise if Filter Factory manages to attract a few more in it's own right. Frankly, it's not very hard to see why his popularity has spread so rapidly and so far over the last twelve months.

  In fact, nowaday's DEE's popularity has grown so much that he is a little spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to play his next concert and he has even had to install a little widget on his MySpace site so fans can request a gig in a town near them - but with a fan base now spreading into the millions and gig requests flooding in every minute, his next world tour may well end up takeing a few years to complete.   Returning to the subject of large bunnies waiting to be put through the bunny boiler...DEE has another video on his film portfolio all about them. These are two pink six foot Easter bunnies going spare after being sacked and whom DEE showed how to make a 'Stand' in the must see comedy called 'Hank And Mike' - released Easter 2008. DEE also provided the film with another top song called 'Weight Of The World'.So if you'd like a sneek peek of two wild bunnies making their 'stand' then you'll have to press another button .... It's also worth mentioning to fans of the new film that one of the anarchistic bunnies also seem to have landed staring roles in the online game 'Cake Mania' which can be found via most of our gaming links in the 'Gamewatch 22' section.

  Saskatoon is a town stil bursting with musical ambition and its often intermingled with sheer brilliance too. While the rest of The Americas home industry often falls into the seedy online catagory of tacky get rich quick schemes that not only rob the poor of their last shekel but possibly all hope too, Saskatoon has upturned a fast sinking ship by giveing vast quality , content and 'something actualy worth buying' back to the core of 'home industry' by composing, engineering and delivering real high quality and home made music instead. It has also been rumoured that half the towns population has a secret recording studio hidden in at least one of their rooms ...so here's a few sassy Saskatoonians well worth bathing your brains with and all perfect for deeply dousing the audial lobes . Some names may already be familiar to you, while others will probably become household names quite soon..

  First off it seems the town has not only a violent femme, but a violent homme too...Violent Kin have been putting the finishing touches on a breathtaking new debut album from a selection of underground recording studios hidden deep in the town with a sound that will make many a studio pro blush and reconsider the true merits of their university degree. SJ Kardesh is the multi talented musician and sound wizard driving the sound along with the talented vocals, keyboards and general craziness of sister Maygen . If those names seem a little familiar to you than that may well have a little something to do with their previous musical incarnations at the heart of bands like The Blood Lines and the exceptionaly talented ballistic rock jammer giant The Junior Pantherz (whose entire back catologue is currently available on white vinyl for those lucky enough to have a top of the range stylus and turntable). Violent Kin veers slightly away from the 'ballistic rock god ' into slightly more expansive experimental waters ...think Irelands Cathy Davey meets the UK's The Ting Tings and blows both their brains up with inspiration bombs before stealing and fiddling with all their pitch correctors just for fun. The Ting Tings may well have been one of the most original and biggest attitude laden bands to have emerged from the UK in the last couple of years - but if I were them I'd be decidedly worried after witnessing the raw talent of Violent Kin . We've added a little taster of the fun to come in the form of their studio vlog of the band at play while album making with a link to their Myspace, Blood Lines and Pantherz sites...so keep an eye out for the summer tour and an ear out for a band that we'll all be hearing alot from and of in the future...
